MISSION TRIP SUPPORT POLICY

Our mission is to support individuals who are actively engaging in service that aligns with our values of faith, compassion, and global outreach. This policy outlines the criteria and procedures for applying for and receiving financial support for mission trips.
1. Purpose
The purpose of this support is to assist individuals who are participating in short-term mission trips with a recognized organization and who demonstrate a clear sense of calling, preparation, and accountability.
2. Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for support, applicants must:
  • Be actively involved in Trinity Baptist Church.
  • Be participating in a mission trip organized by a reputable organization that aligns with Trinity Baptist Church mission team values.
  • Priorities given to SBC entities.
  • Be willing to share their experience after the trip.
3. Application Process
Applicants must submit a completed Mission Trip Support Application along with:
  • A brief letter (email) of recommendation from a TBC Elder.
  • Documentation from the sending organization (e.g., fundraising goals, trip itinerary).
  • Applications should be submitted at least 4–6 weeks before the fundraising deadline.
4. Support Amount
Financial support amounts targeted 20% of mission trip cost up to $400 based on available funds. Support is not guaranteed and will be determined by the Missions Team.
5. Expectations
Recipients of mission trip support are expected to:
  • Use funds exclusively for trip-related expenses.
  • Maintain communication and updates as needed.
  • Submit a short written or verbal report upon return, sharing key takeaways and how the experience impacted them and those they served.
6. Stewardship
We aim to steward our resources responsibly. Therefore, support decisions will be made with prayerful consideration, transparency, and a desire to encourage faithful service around the world.
