About Bridges Harrison

Bridges Harrison grew up in Mississippi and Florida. He was raised by Christian parents who taught him the importance of following and serving Jesus. At age 18, Bridges surrendered and accepted the call to church ministry at First Baptist Church in Clinton, Mississippi.
Bridges received his Bachelor of Arts degree in religion from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in May 2020. While in college, his experiences leading worship at Samford and Hunter Street Baptist Church in Hoover have fine-tuned his gift and passion of leading God’s people to experience a life of worship. To Bridges, nothing unites the body of Christ more than the Holy Spirit during corporate worship. He hopes to lead a community empowered by the Spirit and by each other. The words of professor Dietrich Bonhoeffer inspire his vision of Christian community: “Through [Christ] alone do we have access to one another, joy in one another, and fellowship with one another.”

Outside of ministry, Bridges loves all things artistic, including dance, film, video games, and poetry. He is also an avid fan of New Orleans sports and will always find a way to watch the Saints and Pelicans every season.
