We have had several calls about people wanting to help those affected by the flood, so we want to get some info out to everyone. Here is how Trinity Baptist Church is assisting flood victims, and how you can partner with us.
1) Financial Donations:  Any benevolence funds collected at Trinity Baptist Church for the month of September will be used to directly assist those affected by the flood. Specific needs will be identified for the families being assisted and utilized as determined is most appropriate. Every penny received during this time will go directly to flood victims. These donations are tax deductible. Checks can be made payable to Trinity Baptist Church and designate “benevolence” in memo area. Online Giving can also be utilized – just be certain to select benevolence fund.
2) Clothing: The Touched Twice Clinic ministry is gathering clothing. All Donations (new and used) – All Sizes – All Free. Families can contact TTC to set up an appointment to “shop” their shed, and a mobile unit is in the flooded communities with clothing and personal items. Drop off donations at 244 N LOCUST STt (on the front porch drop off anytime).
3) Personal Hygiene Items: Touched Twice Clinic can also use new personal items such as deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, shampoo, soap, women’s hygiene items, etc. Drop off donations at 244 N LOCUST STt (on the front porch drop off anytime).
4) Disaster Relief: SBC Disaster Relief is onsite here at Trinity to complete mudout and recovery. If you would like to volunteer please contact Cindy Schanke (608-408-7390) or Laurie Buckholt (608-434-6708). They can assign trained and untrained (limited duties) volunteers with a DR Team. If you would like to become a trained Disaster Relief volunteer to assist with mudout, feeding, laundry etc, sign up for training being held this Saturday in Roseville, MN. Those previously trained but needing recertification can complete online recertification.
