Counseling

Counseling… just the word makes some of us uncomfortable. For most of us, it’s the option we turn to when every other option has been exhausted. The truth is, however, that the earlier we are willing to admit that we need counseling, the quicker we can begin a healing or growing process.

This month the church received a thank you note for our partnership with St. Peter’s Lutheran and others to help financially secure a Christian counselor to work with our community once a week. Many of you probably have forgotten about hearing that or never even known. I also met a Christian counselor at one of our church events last month and spent some time getting to know them.

Why do I bring this up? Well, I know many of you have asked about good counselors in the past. Some of you might be interested in counseling right now but don’t know where to look or just have a tough time finding something local. Our pastors love you and seek to help you any way we can. We do highly encourage and offer premarital counseling and limited other counseling. But sometimes, it’s best for you to find someone with more experience and resources in this area than we have to offer.

So, I just want to share the information for 2 counselors in our area, for when you are looking.
