Youth Mission Trip - July 11-20, 2008.
Several of our students and their sponsors will be traveling to
Birmingham, AL, this summer.
They will be working hard
there on construction projects, and are currently looking for
things
to do here that will help prepare them for the trip.
They are hoping to line up day projects where they can do
minor
construction jobs
(painting, roof repairs, trim, etc.).
They can also do yard work, clean-up, and things of that nature.
The two Saturdays the students will be available are:
May 3rd and June 7th.
They are also available for yard work projects.

An interesting link from Olivia...

This is basically "a Christian teenage rebellion against the low expectations of an
ungodly culture." Brett and Alex Harris, the guys who created this "rebelution",
are the younger brothers of Joshua Harris(the author of I Kissed Dating Goodbye).
They hold one day conferences around the US talking to teens and young adults
about changing our culture. Check out the link for more info...

"See You at the Pole"
It isn't about groups, grades, clothes, or churches.
It's about praying. It's about all of us coming together
and laying aside all the labels for one day, simply to
call out to God, just as Jesus did in John 17 and say,
"Lord, may we be one in you--whether jocks, preps, geeks,
Pentecostals, Baptists, Catholics, freshmen, or seniors--
may the world believe that You are real and have sent
us to touch other through you, regardless of the dividing
lines drawn by a broken world!"

GATHER at your school flagpole, UNITE in the name of the
One who died to save you, and PRAY for your school,
friends, and families. COME TOGETHER,
just as Jesus prayed we would.

Are You Up For The Challenge?

True Love Waits Banquet
March 4, 2007
True Love Waits® is one of several approaches to challenging teenagers and college
students to make a commitment to sexual abstinence until marriage. Created by
LifeWay Christian Resources, True Love Waits is designed to encourage moral purity
by adhering to biblical principles. This youth-based international campaign utilizes
positive peer pressure by encouraging those who make a commitment to refrain
from pre-marital sex to challenge their peers to do the same.
